7 reasons why Ravens have 'best vibes' of any team at training camp per ESPN analyst originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here. The Baltimore Ravens lost heartbreakingly to close out their 2025 regular season and since fired John Harbaugh to change things up after years of stagnation. It was an offseason of change, and now in training camp, things seem to be going quite well for the Ravens. In fact, the vibes might be better than ever. ESPN's Ben Solak named the Ravens as the team with the "best vibes" during this year's training camp, highlighting seven reasons why things are going so well for the Ravens ahead of the 2026 regular season. 7 reasons why Ravens have 'best vibes' in NFL right now 1. Nnamdi Madubuike's return "Nnamdi Madubuike is back practicing after a neck injury threatened his career last season," Solak writes. This is arguably the biggest vibes boost of any story for the Ravens this offseason. Getting Madubuike back is massive for this team. It should receive similar fanfare as the Los Angeles Rams potentially getting Aaron Donald back. That's how important this is. 2. Zay Flowers inks massive deal "No. 1 receiver Zay Flowers got a fat extension worth $34 million per year," Solak writes. While some might call it an overpay, and it very well might be one, locking up a key player long-term is a good thing for a franchise to do. Teams that drag out contract situations can tank the vibes. Look to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The vibes are off with Vita Vea and Baker Mayfield not getting their payday. The Ravens avoided such a mess by signing Flowers long-term. MORE: Lamar Jackson is already predicted to be a Hall of Fame QB for Ravens, per ESPN 3. Ja'Kobi Lane's breakout There might not be a more hyped player across all training camps than Ja'Kobi Lane. The big-bodied receiver has put on a show this summer and is drawing plenty of attention already. Hearing that a rookie like Lane is having such an incredible camp is a huge vibes boost, especially considering the Ravens' mediocre history of drafting wide receivers. Maybe Lane is finally their superstar draft choice. 4. Tyler Loop's bounceback "Tyler Loop, who ended the Ravens' season with a missed kick against the Steelers, apparently can't miss this summer," Solak writes. While this one might fly under the radar, Solak is right to point this out. Moving on from Justin Tucker was never going to be easy, but there was plenty of optimism for Loop last year. He had his moments, but the biggest moment of the year was a missed field goal that got the Ravens eliminated. He's bounced back since then during training camp and is someone that fans should have confidence in this upcoming season. MORE: Cowboys QB Dak Prescott projected by ESPN to be behind Lions QB Jared Goff for HOF chance 5. Jesse Minter and new coaching staff look good "New head coach Jesse Minter and defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver have the defense humming -- but QB Lamar Jackson and the rest of the Ravens' key offensive players are also gushing about new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle," Solak writes. One of the biggest questions for the Ravens heading into the 2026 season was the coaching staff. While the year has yet to begin, all signs are pointing towards this coaching staff working out just fine. Moving on from Harbaugh is a daunting task, but the Ravens might've been able to do so with their new coaching staff just one year later. 6. Calais Campbell's return This is a simpler one, but getting Campbell back on the team is a "heartwarming" storyline for the Ravens, as Solak notes. Sometimes, such a heartwarming storyline is a good thing, even if he doesn't produce a lot on the field. Simply having him on the roster and playing now and then is enough of a vibes boost to make his addition worthwhile. 7. Injury scare was only a scare, not a knockdown Nate Wiggins went down with an injury during training camp, and losing him would've been a massive loss for this team. Fortunately, it's not a serious issue for Baltimore. This injury scare turned out to have no structural damage to his left leg. He might miss a bit of time, but it's not the major season-ending blow that some might have feared when the injury was first reported. Overall, the vibes for the Ravens are incredible, as the new additions are thriving, multiple veterans are back and locked in, and even the biggest threat to the good vibes in Wiggins' injury is not a real problem.
