The Indianapolis Colts will host the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday for their second preseason game of the year. And with that, the team has released its second unofficial depth chart. With this depth chart being unofficial, nothing here is set in stone, but it does perhaps provide us with some insights into where key positional battles stand. Given what we've learned about this Colts roster over the last week, here are a few takeaways from the latest depth chart reveal. Wide receiver Ashton Dulin is listed as the starter opposite of Alec Pierce. Given how offseason programs and training camp have unfolded, that tracks. Laquon Treadwell and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are the two backups, although Treadwell has had more opportunities with the ones. Anthony Gould is the backup slot receiver. Backup quarterback Just as they did last week, the backup role is listed as Riley Leonard "OR" Anthony Richardson. This competition is presumably quite close, although Richardson did have the better preseason performance in New England. Leonard will get the start in Atlanta and attempt to match Richardson's play. Running back DJ Giddens is still listed ahead of Seth McGowan, but with Giddens sidelined recently, it's been McGowan who has seen the bulk of the backup opportunities. I also wouldn't forget about Ulysses Bentley, who is listed as RB4 but could push Giddens for a roster spot with his ability to impact the passing game. Offensive line Jimmy Morrissey is listed as the backup center, but that role belonged to Dalton Tucker in the preseason opener. Luke Tenuta is likely the first tackle option off the bench followed by Blake Freeland. Defensive line Arden Key is listed as the starter opposite of Laiatu Latu, which seems accurate based on how practices have unfolded. Caden Curry, who is listed as the fifth defensive end option, needs more opportunities. Derrick Nnadi is listed as Grover Stewart's backup, but he had an inconsistent performance in New England. Linebacker CJ Allen and Akeem Davis-Gaither are listed as the starters -- no surprise there. But just like last week, Bryce Boettcher is behind both Austin Ajiake and Jaylon Carlies, which is still unexpected. Cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt is likely the first backup option for both the outside and nickel cornerback roles. Johnathan Edwards and Mekhi Blackmon potentially round out this room on the 53-man roster. Safety AJ Haulcy is listed ahead of Hunter Wohler at strong safety, which is to be expected. Haulcy's versatility and ball skills can be a differentiator. Kicker The Colts have this position listed as Blake Grupe "OR" Spencer Shrader. While Shrader had the better preseason performance, Grupe has been better overall. This article originally appeared on Colts Wire: 9 observations from Colts' second unofficial preseason depth chart
