A top 2028 DB sets return trip to Ohio State, Buckeyes make the cut for 2027 four-star basketball prospect

Another day closer to Ohio State kicking off their season against Ball State, the Buckeyes are using every available moment to prepare on the practice field. Seen via daily clips on social media, Ohio State’s talent is evident and the work they are putting in matches the same level.

Plenty to be excited for, the Buckeyes are gearing up and once again have one of the better rosters in college football that will be expected to compete at the highest level.

2028 DB plans trip to Ohio State

Plenty of key games and opportunities to host top recruits this fall, Ohio State’s coaching staff is already seeing visit plans being set from many of the nation’s best players in the upcoming recruiting cycles.

A first-hand look at game days in Columbus, the Buckeyes have one of the premier college football experiences It’s these games and visits that only further benefit their program when it comes to recruiting. Leaving lasting impressions on prep players all over the country, on Wednesday another top defensive back made his future visit plans for this coming fall public.

Maryland native Langston Pridgeon now making his way to campus later this season, the 6-foot-2, 175 pound cornerback will be in town for the Illinois game on Sept. 26. The No. 89 player nationally and eighth best corner in the 2028 class per the 247Sports Composite, Langston has already seen Ohio State up close when he visited this past April, but his second trek is showing his genuine interest that much more.

Offered while he was in town, this return trip is a chance for the staff to separate themselves from the others. Holding offers from nearly 40 schools to his name, Pridgeon looks to be keeping the Buckeyes near the forefront of his mind, and a trip later next month may only further that notion.

Coming from a familiar high school program to Ohio State as well, Tim Walton will be working on this recruitment for the long haul and so far, the two parties are in a solid position.

Moving to the hardwood, Ohio State basketball received positive news on Wednesday when they made the cut for class of 2027 athlete, Deng Ngor. A 6-foot-8, 200 pound power forward, Ngor is the No. 80 player nationally and 12th best at his position per the 247Sports Composite.

Over 20 offers thus far, Ngor’s latest recruiting update came by way of his top four. Duke, Florida, and Washington rounding out the remaining top schools, the Buckeyes have to like where they currently stand and will keep pushing to be that final pick.
