Becky Hammon let the officials have it on Tuesday night, and didn’t make it to halftime.
The Las Vegas Aces head coach was thrown out in the second quarter of their game with the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday after erupting on officials over what she felt was a missed call.
Hammon, after a short jumper from Angel Reese was off the mark near the midway point of the period, suddenly charged toward the official complaining about a missed call while play went the other way. That earned her a quick technical foul.
But Hammon didn’t stop there. She continued to scream at the official, and had to be held back by several assistants and star A’ja Wilson as she picked up her second technical. That led to her automatic ejection.

The issue, it seems, stemmed from what Hammon clearly thought was a missed foul call on Wilson on the other end.

Hammon is in her fifth season leading the Aces this summer. She’s won three WNBA titles in her five seasons coaching in the league after making the jump from Gregg Popovich’s staff in San Antonio.
The Aces entered Tuesday’s game with a 24-12 record, which has them in fourth in the league standings. They have already clinched a playoff spot, and are five games back from the first-place Minnesota Lynx.
The Dream took a 52-41 lead at half behind 15 points from Reese. Wilson had 14 points and six rebounds at the break for the Aces.
