Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers went head-to-head for the third time in the WNBA. The Indiana Fever won 98-87 against the Dallas Wings. The Fever lead the Wings 2-1 when both Clark and Bueckers have played.

In their latest game on Friday, both superstars went band for band. Both scored 29 points. Clark had three rebounds and 10 assists, while Bueckers had six rebounds and six assists each.

There was one moment during the game that garnered a lot of attention from the fans. Both Clark and Bueckers ran to win the loose ball. The Fever star grabbed the ball as Bueckers collided with her shoulder to shoulder. The Wings star fell from the impact. Some fans called it flopping, while some believed that the contact was enough.

“What an amazing flop by Paige [Bueckers] here,” one fan said.

“Caitlin [Clark] fan talking about flopping,” another said.

Caitlin Clark marches towards more WNBA history

Clark is averaging 21.9 points and 8.3 assists in 30 games. She has the most assists in the league this season and is also in the top three in points per game. She is en route to becoming the only player in the history of the WNBA to lead in assists and also be among the top 3 in scoring.

If she maintains these averages, she will also become the first player in WNBA history to score/assist on 40+ points per game in a season. Clark currently averages 40.1 points or assists per game.

After the 29 points and 10 assists against the Wings, Clark is on course to have the most career games with 25+ points and 10+ assists per game. The game vs the Wings was the 7th this season and 13th such game in her career. No other player has more than 6 such games in their career.
