Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Andrew Armstrong spoke with reporters after practice recently at Missouri Western State University. He shared his motivation for signing with the Chiefs in the offseason and his excitement for his first game in Kansas City. “My family is here, and this has been my favorite team since I was a little kid, so I’m not worried about the city life and things like that." said Armstrong, "I’m here to play football, and being around the team and the seriousness of it all, I really want to be around this environment. This is an extremely serious environment. I love that.” Armstrong was named 1st-team All-SEC by the AP, 2nd-team All-SEC by the Coaches, and Phil Steele All-American Honorable Mention. He briefly spent time on the practice squads of the Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions after going undrafted in 2025. The preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams at Arrowhead Stadium will have a long-lasting impact for the final roster hopeful. “It’s going to feel great. Just looking and seeing all the red," said Armstrong, "It’s different playing on the game then being in real life, so I know it’s going to feel amazing.” During the 2024 college season, Armstrong had a team-high 78 receptions for 1,140 receiving yards and 1 receiving touchdown.
