Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke with reporters after practice on Monday at Missouri Western State University. He shared a significant update on rookie defensive back Mansoor Delane's performance in practice. "He (Mansoor Delane) did everything and was in all the drills," Reid said. "He looked good; it was good work for him." Delane continues to recover from suffering a shoulder blade injury during OTAs. He didn't play in the preseason opener but was in full uniform on the sidelines. "It looks like he's healing up pretty good, enough to where he can get out here and do some things; then we'll just monitor and see how he does with the extended play," said Reid. "He hasn't taken that many reps as what he did today, so we'll just see how he does." Delane showed no limitations during today's session, boosting optimism that he could play in a preseason game. While at LSU, the sixth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft earned First Team All-SEC honors and was a unanimous All-American selection. He was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back. This article originally appeared on Chiefs Wire: Andy Reid shares a significant update on Mansoor Delane at practice
