The team is getting a rare travel day following Thursday night's 7-1 win over the Minnesota Twins in MLB's Field of Dreams Game in Iowa. The Phillies made the most of the national spotlight, piling up 12 hits and getting contributions throughout the lineup in the third major league game played at the iconic "Field of Dreams" movie site in Dyersville. Kyle Schwarber blasted two home runs to take over the major league lead, and Brandon Marsh added a homer into the corn beyond the outfield fence. Luis Arraez had three hits as the Phillies lineup jumped to an early lead.
Aaron Nola earned his first victory since May, and the bullpen of Brooks Raley, Jonathan Bowlan, Orion Kerkering and former Twins closer Jhoan Duran combined for four scoreless innings. With Friday off, the Phillies and Twins head to Minnesota to continue their weekend series.
