The Arizona Cardinals' draft class is a little bit banged up. Following the team's 27-14 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, their top four draft picks were all dealing with injuries, although two were considered minor. Here is a rundown of the injuries for their top four rookies:
RB Jeremiyah Love has an ankle injury. OL Chase Bisontis suffered a knee injury. QB Carson Beck has a rib injury. DL Kaleb Proctor has a knee injury.
Proctor is already out for the season after tearing his meniscus in OTAs. Bisontis suffered what appeared to be a long-term knee injury on Thursday. We will know more about how long he will miss this weekend. Head coach Mike LaFleur said that Love had an ankle injury, but that it was minor. Love played 24 snaps and had 14 touchdowns between 11 rushing attempts and three receptions. LaFleur said that Love could have come back in and played. Beck apparently had some soreness in his ribs last week from the Hall of Fame Game. He didn't miss any practice, but the team decided to keep him from playing against the Raiders. "He just had discomfort, and it's one of those things," he said. "I was actually talking to (Rams QB Matthew) Stafford about, and that sometimes a few days later, it feels a little bit worse. Being the preseason, I just didn't want to risk it." Love and Beck will likely be back in action in Tempe in practice when they next take the field.
