Arsenal Are Facing Stiff Competition For This Talented Striker: What Will He Bring To North London?

In a recent report, Football.London claimed that Arsenal are facing stiff competition for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen this summer. It has been mentioned that the Gunners would have to rival Tottenham Hotspur,  Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Al-Hilal and Manchester United in the race to land the Nigerian forward this off-season.

Osimhen’s Excellent Numbers In Turkish Football

Osimhen had a productive campaign at the Turkish club recently after he put in a lot of impressive displays as the focal point of their attack. The 27-year-old banged in 22 goals and picked up eight assists in 33 matches for Galatasaray last season across all competitions.

The Nigerian talent is currently one of the most talented strikers in European football. Hence, the Gunners would do well to lure him to the Emirates Stadium this off-season.

Osimhen is under contract at the Turkish club until the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on the cheap in this transfer window.

What Will Osimhen Bring To Arsenal?

Osimhen is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has the vision to engineer some decent chances for his teammates to score and is also quite clever with his movements in and around the opponent’s penalty area.

Standing at 1.86m, the Nigerian sensation can use his strong frame to dominate the opposition defenders in the air. Osimhen has proven himself to be a consistent performer in the Turkish Super Lig. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to sign him this off-season.

We can expect Osimhen to bring more firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.

At 27, Osimhen is about to enter his prime, which makes him a worthy target for Arsenal to sign in this transfer window. However, Arteta has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before he can get the best out of the talented striker. With all things considered, the Gunners should focus on getting a deal done for him this summer.
