ATV crash at 508 International track in Charlton under investigation

CHARLTON — A crash involving a rider in an all-terrain vehicle racing competition is under investigation by the Office of the Worcester County District Attorney. The crash occurred Sunday, Aug. 16, at 508 International, a motorsport racing facility on Brookfield Road. It was the site of the Quad Cross New England event during the weekend. Authorities have not shared details of the crash. State police referred questions to the district attorney. Inquiries to that office were not immediately answered. On social, 508 International's string of posts about the event is topped by the following message: "We’d like to thank everyone for their understanding in having to cut the race day short. We don’t have details at the moment but will work on a unified front with QuadCross to get more information in the upcoming days. Praying for everyone involved."
