Barcelona have been trying to pull off a number of sales of La Masia starlets in recent weeks, with the club looking to make a profit from the academy.

With the first-team squad crowded with talent, Barça are keen to sell players to enhance their development while retaining control over their future.

Now, according to Nil Sola, the club are working on departures for Hector Fort, Jofre Torrents and Tommy Marques.

If Barcelona secure their desired figures across the three operations, the combined income could reach approximately €26 million.

Fort could bring in €10 million

Fort is attracting considerable interest after finding his pathway into Hansi Flick’s first team increasingly difficult.

A transfer worth between €8 million and €10 million is being discussed for the young defender, who has suitors across Europe.

Borussia Dortmund have emerged as a potential destination for the talented Spaniard, with the German club keen on signing him.

Barcelona’s challenge will be ensuring they do not completely surrender control over a player who still has significant potential.

The club will ideally look to move him with a percentage of a future sale and a buy-back clause included in the deal.

Jofre set for €6 million Ajax move

Jofre Torrents is another academy player heading towards the exit.

The left-back is expected to join Ajax in an operation worth around €6 million, providing Barcelona with another useful injection of transfer income.

Again, Barça have been keen to protect themselves for the future when selling their best young players.

The club will look to have an agreement with the Dutch club should they wish to bring back Jofre in the future.

Barça want €10 million for Tommy Marques

Tommy Marques could generate the largest individual fee of the three.

Sola reports that Barcelona want approximately €10 million for the midfielder and are looking to secure a significant financial return from his departure.

Marques had previously been in contention for a permanent first-team role after impressing Flick, but the midfield picture has changed dramatically following the move for Rodri.

Rather than keeping him without a realistic route to regular minutes, Barcelona are now prepared to sanction a transfer.

La Masia becoming an important financial asset

If Barça receive €10 million for Marques and Fort and €6 million for Jofre, the three deals would produce a sum of €26 million.

That is meaningful money for a club still navigating financial troubles and looking to be efficient in the transfer window.

There is always a danger in selling academy talent too early, particularly with players this young.

Barcelona therefore need to negotiate protections such as buy-back clauses or significant sell-on percentages wherever possible.

However, it would make no sense to keep talents in the squad without providing them with a proper pathway.

If Barça manage to sell these three players for a combined fee of €26 million, it will be a good piece of business from the Catalans, and it remains to be seen how things play out.
