Ben Johnson and the Chicago Bears are ready to take on a new season. This team was atop the NFC North last season and would have gone further in the postseason, but they fell in the NFC Divisional Round in overtime to the Los Angeles Rams. It was heartbreaking, but still, for Johnson's first season with the Bears, it was huge to see this team go from the bottom to the top of the NFC North. They're hungry for more. ESPN has released a tally of projections for each NFL team going into the future. So, we're not talking this year; we're talking years from now. The Chicago Bears Could Reach the Super Bowl, But It May Take a While In the piece, they project the Bears will reach the Super Bowl, which is great news. But, they don't know if it will be this year, and it could take until 2029. Can this fanbase wait that long? In Seth Walder's bold prediction for 2027-29, he states, "Chicago will reach the Super Bowl at some point. I'm worried that the Bears are a little overhyped in 2026 because of the defense and Williams' accuracy issues last season. But I want to buy as much Johnson stock as I can." He adds, "At some point in this window, the Bears will combine a good enough defense with a strong offense to win the NFC." The Bears could certainly have a worse projection than reaching the Super Bowl by 2029. But, this fanbase is pumped up to win this thing now, so the waiting part could be annoying. More NFL news:
