Bills new stadium grass gets a negative review: 'The field is [expletive] right now'

The reviews of the Buffalo Bills new Highmark Stadium aren't just coming in from fans who aren't pleased with the obstructed views in the stands. There are also players who took to the field over the weekend as the Bills played the Carolina Panthers in the team's first preseason contest. One anonymous Bills player had this to say to The Athletic: "“The field is [expletive] right now. But it’s early.” Bills linebacker Dorian Williams had a different opinion that he shared with the publication: "The grass looked good. It was cool. A couple spots kind of chunked up a little bit, but it’s better than playing on turf.” That last part is noteworthy -- it was during the 2026 World Cup earlier this summer that the "grass is better than turf" argument reignited in the NFL. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle led the charge on social media and elsewhere:
