New York Jets running back Breece Hall is coming off a career year in which he rushed for 1,065 yards on the ground and got 350 more through the air to go along with five total touchdowns. On Monday, as the veteran practiced at training camp, he reportedly suffered an injury. Per ESPN's Rich Cimini, Hall was running after making and catch and fell down "untouched." Other Jets beat reporters confirmed that was the case and there was speculation that it could be a groin injury that he suffered in the slick grass from rain in the area. There's no official word yet on the injury -- he left with trainers -- but we'll update you with more information as it comes in.
Breece Hall goes down, untouched, while running after a catch. #Jets — Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) August 17, 2026
My guess is a groin injury for Breece Hall. He is walking off slowly with trainers. — Brian Costello (@BrianCoz) August 17, 2026
Breece Hall came up after a screen pass and is leaving practice. Looks like a groin injury #Jets — Ryan Dunleavy (@rydunleavy) August 17, 2026 Who is Breece Hall's backup running back on the Jets depth chart? That would be Braelon Allen, with Isaiah Davis behind Allen, a former fourth-round pick in 2024 who has 110 carries for 410 yards in 21 games played for New York.
