Second-year Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant has been the talk of training camp for being one of the most reliable targets thus far for quarterback Bo Nix. Bryant turned many heads when he caught a jump ball in Saturday's practice, a play which many are calling the play of camp thus far. "It was blitz-zero, so I kinda just threw it up," Nix said in an interview with Kay Adams. "Knew he was on the blitz zero route. He was running a corner, and it was kind of one of those you throw it, you're like, 'Well, either he can catch it, or nobody's gonna catch it, it'll be incomplete, it's fine. We'll go to the next play.' And he came down with it, and then everybody sort of went crazy." Bryant recently talked about his year-over-year development as a pass-catcher. “Honestly, my main focus is when the ball is in the air, it’s mine," Bryant said. "The easiest way to stop [defensive backs] from having PBUs is to be able to go up there and attack the ball, cut down the flight time a little bit. Honestly, just having trust in my hands. When you trust your hands, you can run across the middle full speed, tuck the ball, to get that Y.A.C." Bryant is coming off a 31-catch season with 378 receiving yards and one touchdown. Bryant missed several games in 2025 due to injury, but right now, he is competing for the WR3 spot alongside Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin. "It’s healthy competition is what we like to call it," Bryant said. "At the end of the day, everybody’s job is on the line, but to come out here and compete, push each other, make sure everybody’s doing their job, helping each other out when it’s needed. At the end of the day, we all have the same goal: let’s go out there and win.” That's the right idea! With the Broncos coming off a 14-win season, Bryant is looking to make an impact. And based on how things look, he has a tremendous opportunity to be the next big target for Nix and the offense. Social: Follow Broncos Wire on Facebook and Twitter/X!
