Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has taken a fantastic step away from the WNBA court to help the communities that support her the loudest.

Clark is having a terrific WNBA season, averaging 22.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 8.3 assists on the 23-12 Fever, who are eyeing a potential run to the Finals amid a strong year.

Despite the demanding on-court challenges that await her over the next two months, Clark is ensuring her charitable work doesn’t stop, with a fantastic initiative taking root.

Caitlin Clark partners with children’s hospitals to boost morale in new initiative

Clark, through the Caitlin Clark Foundation, announced a new program called ‘Turning Pages, Healing Hearts,’ in partnership with local hospitals.

“We are honored to be bringing our new program, Turning Pages, Healing Hearts, to local hospitals! This program is designed to empower pediatric patients to find joy and build connections with their siblings, parents, and children’s hospital staff by choosing books that interest them.”

The program will provide branded book vending machines, a welcome joy folder, and themed arts and crafts for children to use at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis.

The program is in partnership with Scholastic and is expected to extend to UnityPoint Health Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, later this month.

Clark is serving the two communities that root for her the most in Indianapolis and Iowa, where she played NCAA basketball and became a superstar.

Caitlin Clark has been involved in multiple charitable initiatives

Clark’s commitment to charity has been evident since she became a WNBA player, using her platform to bring attention to major issues such as education, nutrition, and other sports-led community initiatives.

Clark’s foundation has been doing annual back-to-school programs where they distribute backpacks and other school supplies, which have already been hosted twice since her WNBA tenure started.

Clark also collaborated with Scholastic’s United States of Readers program to distribute 22,000 new children’s books to under-resourced elementary/middle schools, children’s hospitals, and nonprofits in Iowa and Indiana. The newest initiative is related to this.

Clark has also been a public face for multiple nutritional and health initiatives, including refurbishing public courts in Indiana.
