Riccardo Calafiori has broken the record for the fastest goal ever scored in the Community Shield.
Calafiori opened the scoring forArsenal against Manchester City after just 24 seconds at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, racing onto Myles Lewis-Skelly's pass to fire past Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The lightning start from thePremier League champions has set a new Community Shield record. Calafiori's opener is the fastest goal in the trophy's history, beating the previous record set by Manchester City's Bobby Owen against West Bromwich Albion in 1968.
Owen's first-minute goal set the Cityzens on route to a 6-1 win over West Brom, with the forward netting after just 35 seconds.
Arsenal's opener has put Mikel Arteta's side in the driving seat for the season's first silverware, as the Gunners look to win the Community Shield for an 18th time.
