The one thing every team hopes for more than anything in the preseason is to come out of it healthy. For that reason, the Cardinals preseason win over the Raiders was more of a loss because they suffered a big loss in the process.
In the third quarter, QB Gardner Minshew rolled right, looking to pass. His offensive line attempted to protect him to give him time to get the ball away. And in so doing, second round guard Chase Bisontis went down awkwardly and stayed on the ground clutching his knee in pain.
A day later, the MRI results are in and they are not good. Bisontis suffered a torn MCL on the play and will require surgery to repair it.

The second-round pick will miss a few months but the good news is all other ligaments, including his ACL, are intact. pic.twitter.com/OLPEl0Uweu
The 34th overall pick out of Texas A&M was the third guard selected in April's draft. Now he will likely have to wait until next year to compete for a job in Arizona.
You hate to see injuries like this happen, especially in the preseason, before a promising young player can even take the field for a regular season game. Hopefully he can recover fully and get his career back on track next season.
