Carlos Prates takes umbrage with Michael Morales claiming he's scared of him. Prates and Morales were both in attendance in Philadelphia for welterweight champion Islam Makhachev's title win against Ian Machado Garry in Saturday's UFC 330 headliner. Morales weighed in as the official backup, but his services weren't needed. The two top contenders are vying for the next title shot. Makhachev thinks the more active Prates (24-7 MMA, 7-1 UFC) is most deserving, and that's what the Brazilian expects next. However, he wanted to make it clear to Morales (19-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) that he's not backing down from a fight against him. "If the guy has two arms, two legs, one d*ck like me, bro, I can fight him," Prates said in a video message to Morales (h/t Champions Collection). "He said I'm scared about him? You said I'm scared to fight you? I'm not scared to fight you. I'm the No. 1 contender, so I want to fight for the belt. "UFC never offered a fight against you. If they offer me, of course I will knock you out really fast, first round. So don't worry. You're going to fight, and I'm going to knock you out. But now wait. Get my belt, and then we can fight. I'm never scared to fight you, bro. Don't worry." Morales, who hasn't competed since finishing Sean Brady by first-round TKO at UFC 322 last November, responded to Prates' message. "Yeah, I'm ready to fight," Morales said. "Just let me know." This article originally appeared on MMA Junkie: Carlos Prates sends Michael Morales a message: 'I'm never scared to fight you'
