The Charlotte Hornets made another move earlier this week, adding a new assistant coach to their staff. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Hornets have agreed to sign John Bryant to their staff. Bryant has been an NBA assistant coach since 2018 after working up from a player development role with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Bryant spent four seasons under Brett Brown from 2016 to 2020 and spent his last four seasons with the Chicago Bulls, working under one of the league's most well-respected coaches, Billy Donovan. This, of course, means that Bryant has spent plenty of time working with Hornets' starting point guard Coby White, who spent the first six and a half seasons of his career in Chicago.
Prior to his NBA experience, Bryant worked as an assistant coach for the Delaware Blue Coats, the 76ers' G-League affiliate.
