Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Chukwuebuka Godrick has started a nonprofit organization focusing on expanding academic services for area students. He recently spoke with the Kansas City Star at an event hosted by the Chu Godrick Foundation. "It's been a great day, you know. Had Who's Who and Kansas City come out to support, you know, the launch of 'The Godrick Foundation'. So excited to do this. It's been a blessing to be able to do this. Blessed and excited for what we're going to do," said Godrick. "I mean, we're (NFL players) considered public figures. We influence the people around us. So it's important for people in my position, people in my, you know, network, to show that you know they're still good in the world and that you know we're blessed so that we can bless other people."
