College football turns over the player pool via graduation and transfer portal defections at a dizzying rate in the modern era. Here is a list of my favorite breakout players available in Yahoo Standard P4 College Fantasy Football Leagues.  Play Yahoo's new College Fantasy Football game: Create or join a league now! QB - Sam Leavitt, LSU One thing is clear when it comes to the QB position in Yahoo Standard Scoring Leagues that utilize 4-point passing touchdown formats: rushing production is imperative. Of the top-10 scoring quarterbacks last year, six of them rushed for 400+ yards and all 10 top scorers topped the 200+ yard rushing barrier.

For his part, Leavitt fits LSU head coach Lane Kiffin's QB archetype perfectly, evoking comparisons to CFF stars Matt Corral and Jaxson Dart. Leavitt averaged a strong 22.5 fantasy PPG in his seven appearances before suffering a season-ending injury. He has the tools and plays in the perfect system to compliment his dual-threat skill set and create explosive college fantasy football production.  RB - Adam Mohammed, Cal

With starting RB Jonah Coleman compromised with a leg injury for the second half of the year, Mohammed ripped off two-straight 100-yard games to end the regular season. His 14-carry, 105 yard showing against rival Oregon was an important game for him, as then-Oregon DC Tosh Lupoi took the Cal head coaching job in the offseason and immediately moved to bring in Mohammed to lead the Bears' backfield. For CFF purposes, he secured 17-of-19 targets for 138 yards in 2025 and should have a clear path to 180+ rush attempts with 30+ receptions in Berkley.  RB - Jayden 'Duke' Scott, NC State

The Freaks List honoree has been rocketing up draft boards after ripping off 108 yards on 19 carries in NC State's 31-7 evisceration of Memphis in the Gasparilla Bowl. Scott averaged 6.1 yards per touch with a pristine 94% catch rate, showing he performed admirably when called in to spell the now departed Hollywood Smothers. I expect Duke's all-purpose usage profile will make him an every-week RB2 who averages 17+ PPG per week.  WR - Nick Marsh, Indiana

I'm almost uncomfortable with all the Nick Marsh shares I have acquired over CFF Draft Season. The Michigan State transfer recorded an unbelievable 48% broken tackle rate, which led all P4 receivers while earning a greedy 29% target share over his final seven games despite ghastly quarterback play. Marsh wins in every phase of his route — clean breaks, speed to stack DBs vertically and a bully mentality to assault smaller DBs with the ball in his hands and a violent stiff arm. Marsh has all the tools to be an evolved version of Elijah Sarratt, who rang up 12 touchdowns in 10 regular season games for the Hoosiers last year.  WR - Dakorien Moore, Oregon

A premium five-star prospect who was tasked with starting at the X-WR position as a true freshman in the Big Ten — not a small feat. Moore was already an established focal point and the most dependable wideout on the team when he sustained a leg injury on Oct. 25 that caused Moore to miss the rest of the regular season, and hampered him throughout Oregon's CFP Playoff run. He still averaged a respectable 10.7 fantasy PPG with a 26% deep target rate despite adjusting to the upper-level competition. Now fully recovered, Moore has the advantage of playing with projected first-round NFL QB Dante Moore and is ready to breakout as a true CFF WR1. TE - DJ Vonnahme, TE, Iowa

Very few CFF tight ends have the advantage of being the primary target for their respective teams. Fortunately, Iowa is one of the most prolific teams in the country when it comes to featuring their tight ends, and Vonnahme is an elite talent for offensive coordinator Tim Lester to scheme touches for. Vonnahme's outrageous 37% target share leads all returning TEs, and an aggressive 9.2 ADOT reflects prolific downfield usage for the future pro. Vonnahme is a safe, bust-proof tight end who should be a priority for all CFF drafters looking for a plug-and-play TE1.  Flex - Aneyas Williams, RB, Notre Dame

One of the truly elite legacy running back positions in all of college football is Notre Dame's RB1, with Aneyas Williams earning that distinction heading into 2026. He was electric in small bursts behind two NFL starters last year, scoring 10+ points in each of the last three games in which Williams received a touch, averaging 7.6 YPC with 18 receptions on the year. Notre Dame ranked No. 1 in marginal explosiveness last year and boasts a Joe Moore Award-caliber offensive line, making Williams one of the more exciting breakout rushers in the country. Flex - Dezmon Roebuck, WR, Washington

I had the pleasure of watching Dezmon Roebuck light up UCLA in person last season, which was a dress rehearsal for his 2026 breakout now that Denzel Boston is in the NFL. A dangerous weapon on the outside, Roebuck created 15 explosive plays on a mere 42 receptions despite receiving just a 16% target share. Now that he's slated for full time work and receiving notable praise in fall camp, I expect Roebuck to garner in the ballpark of Boston's 26.2% target share from last season, which would amount to a certifiable breakout campaign from the talented receiver.
