With the Yahoo College Fantasy Football season rapidly approaching, here is Eric Froton's All-Sleeper Team to help you prepare for your upcoming drafts. Play Yahoo's new College Fantasy Football game: Create or join a league now! QB - Mason Heintschel, Pitt Besieged by one of the worst offensive lines in Power Conference football last year, Heintschel ran forward for 366 yards, but moved backwards 278 yards, leaving just 88 rushing yards as his yearly rushing total.
The OL should have better health and is fortified by an influx of three FBS starters, which gives the Panthers 127 total line starts of experience to work with. With Heintschel having been thrown into the starting job as a true freshman, I expect noticeable improvement in both the passing and running phases after a full offseason of starters reps. You can get Heintschel at the very back end of most Yahoo Standard League Drafts. RB - Dilin Jones, LSU
The hype train left the station in spring when Jones drew positive reports amidst a fairly crowded LSU backfield. Still, expectations were tempered until fall camp opened due to the presence of talented backs like Harlem Berry and Caden Durham. However, the steady drumbeat we've gotten out of Baton Rouge indicates Jones has taken control of the room and is slated to be Lane Kiffin's new RB1, which is a minted CFF legacy position that produced Kewan Lacy's breakout last year and a titanic senior campaign out of FAU icon, Devin "Motor" Singletary. Jones is being selected after the 10th round, which is simply too late for the upside he brings. RB - Ousmane Kromah, Florida State
I was all gassed up for Kromah at the end of last season but raised an eyebrow at FSU bringing in former Texas 1,000-yard rusher Tre Wisner to challenge for carries. Both backs received favorable reports in spring, which added an element of uncertainty since Kromah received five carries or less in five of FSU's last six games. However, since camp begun, it's been all Kromah, all the time, with Wisner missing reps due to injury. The talent is undeniable and with FSU staff hinting at 15-20 carries per game, Kromah's recent selection at 12.02 of the recent CFF Experts Yahoo Draft is nothing short of thievery. WR - Deuce Alexander, Ole Miss
With De'Zhaun Stribling now turning heads in San Francisco for the 49ers, Deuce is in pole position to take over his vacated starting X-WR role. The numbers support a workload increase, with Alexander boasting a 26% deep-target rate, 15.6 yards per catch and 6.1 yards after catch. His ability to win downfield and with the ball in his hands point to a monster season for a very reasonable 7th-8th round price tag. WR - Chris Barnes, Oklahoma State
Barnes was absolutely electric at Wake Forest despite brutal QB play from renowned solo-threat signal caller Robbie Ashford. Now that he's playing for air raid aficionado Eric Morris at Oklahoma State, Barnes could carve out an every week starting CFF role if he receives 80+ targets, which is an extremely likely scenario with QB Drew Mestemaker slated to throw 500+ passes this year. Barnes commanded a gigantic 30% target share, created 17 chunk gains and averaged a pristine 8.9 yards after catch last year, and I expect to see those numbers scaled into meaningful CFF production. TE - Willie Rodriguez, Kentucky
The most dependable weapon on a dismal 2025 Kentucky squad, Rodriguez should see a sizable increase in usage with former Oregon OC Willie Stein now running the show. The offensive influence behind Terrance Ferguson, Kenyon Sadiq and Jamari Johnson now has Rodriguez's tantalizing skills to accentuate. In fact, Rodriguez leads all returning tight ends with an aggressive 11.2 ADOT and ranks third among all P4 returnees with a sparkling 8.7% wide rate, two lynchpins of the metrics I utilize to predict breakout tight ends. He's a bargain in the late rounds, so if you miss out of the top tier of TEs, don't panic. Flex - Dierre Hill Jr., RB, Oregon
I have an uncomfortable amount of Dierre Hill shares in both CFF and C2C formats, as I had the pleasure of speaking extensively with former Oregon RB legend Kenjon Barner at the OU/Penn State whiteout game last year. Barner's unwavering optimism regarding Hill caused me to go grab every share I could get of him, and was rewarded with Hill averaging 6.5 yards AFTER contact with a sterling 39% broken tackle rate. Perhaps most enticing was his 48% slot/wide rate on passing downs, with OU trying to procure Hill the ball in space at every opportunity. Hill should receive 150+ high-value touches for a dominant Oregon offense. Flex - Jamal Roberts, RB, Missouri
An extremely productive RB2 on a per-carry basis, averaging 6.2 YPC and 0.97 fantasy points per touch, Roberts looks likely to handle the RB1 workload for at least the first month as star RB Ahmad Hardy is still being treated with caution in the wake of suffering a gunshot wound to his leg. Roberts figures to start the first four weeks against a very appealing slate that includes Arkansas Pine-Bluff (FCS), at Kansas, Troy and at Mississippi State. Roberts would be a Round 2 value if he were projected to start all 12 games. With Hardy still being held back in scrimmages, Roberts is well worth the risk and is being selected in a wide range between Round 6 to as low as Round 12.
