The Indianapolis Colts were back on the practice field Sunday, and so was rookie linebacker CJ Allen.
Allen had been sidelined for the last week, dealing with a hamstring injury.
He also missed a few practices early on while on the PUP list, navigating a calf injury at that time.

Allen is expected to start at linebacker for the Colts, and he has impressed during his brief tenure with the team.
That said, to at least some degree, Allen will be playing catch-up in the coming weeks. He's missed a fair amount of practice time up to this point, especially for a rookie.
Originally, Allen was wearing the green dot for the Colts' defense, but that is a responsibility that may now stick with safety Cam Bynum.
The starting spot next to Allen remains up for grabs, with Akeem Davis-Gaither, Jaylon Carlies, Austin Ajiake, and Bryce Boettcher all seemingly in the mix to varying degrees.
