Football is back, as the Washington Commanders host the Miami Dolphins in the preseason opener for both teams at Northwest Stadium. The teams met on Wednesday for a joint practice.
Washington had the upper hand in Wednesday’s joint practice, which could lead head coach Dan Quinn to sit several of his starters, including quarterback Jayden Daniels. Wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs may also receive the night off, giving the Commanders a chance to look at several other receivers battling for roster spots, including rookie third-round pick Antonio Williams.
