Within minutes of the player announcing what had happened, players and other well-known figures in the footballing world have shown support in the comments of his Instagram post:

Musiala’s current teammates like Manuel Neuer, Aleksandar Pavlović, Luis Díaz, Jonathan Tah, and many others, national teammates like Nick Woltemade and Florian Wirtz, and even former Bayern players like Bouna Sarr, Lothar Matthäus, and Douglas Costa all commiserated with Musiala. The official Instagram accounts of the Bundesliga and Transfermarkt are there too. In the immediate aftermath of the match, the club refused to elaborate on the player’s condition, only saying that Musiala himself will give an announcement and that the club is “aware” of the condition.
