Basketball video game NBA 2K27 continued with their top-100 player ratings this week, listing a few more Duke alumni. Cooper Flagg was the latest Blue Devil to receive his new rating. Heading into his rookie season. Flagg received the second-highest rating (82 overall) ever given to a rookie, second only to Victor Wembanyama, who received an 84 prior to his rookie season.
Flagg will be happy to know that he improved on last year's mark, coming into the 2026-27 season with an 87 overall rating. This ties him with one of his teammates and another Duke alum, Kyrie Irving.
Despite missing a handful of contests last year with a sprained ankle, Flagg did enough to win the NBA's Rookie of the Year Award, averaging 21 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks. With a healthy Irving back into the fold, expectations for Dallas and the new Duke duo of Irving and Flagg are much higher after an uncharacteristic 26-win campaign last season.
