Daniel Cormier wants Usman Nurmagomedov to prove his greatness in the UFC. PFL lightweight champion Nurmagomedov is now a free agent after completing the final fight on his contract last month. Nurmagomedov was seen chatting with UFC's Chief Business Office Hunter Campbell during the UFC 330 weigh-ins, where he was in Philadelphia all week to support his teammate, welterweight champion Islam Makhachev. Cormier ran into Nurmagomedov (22-0) backstage, and pleaded with him to join the UFC roster. "Hey, when are you coming?" Cormier asked Nurmagomedov (h/t Kolos MMA). "When are you coming here? It's now time to stop wasting time. It's now become legacy. It's time for legacy. You think (UFC lightweights) are bums? Well, come show me. Come to the UFC and show me they're bums. It's time now for legacy. Khabib said, 'You have to listen to him.'" Nurmagomedov defended his lightweight title when he knocked out Archie Colgan in the first-round of the PFL New York main event at UBS Arena in Elmont. The 28-year-old retained his title eight times across his reign in both Bellator and PFL.
