In most leagues, you play to win. In Death Leagues, you play to survive.

Same merciless format, with a new name, new artwork and iconography across app and web and a completely rebuilt standings experience. The goal hasn't changed: don't finish last. Every week the lowest-scoring team is eliminated and its players are released into waivers for everyone left to claim. Last team standing wins the league.

Death League matchup screens are revamped and better than ever.
Death League matchup screens are revamped and better than ever.

The biggest change you'll feel week to week is standings. The new table leads with status instead of raw point totals, grouping teams into Death Watch, At Risk and Safe, sorted by projected points with the most vulnerable team at the top, and your team is highlighted so you can find yourself instantly. You'll see current-week points, projected points, season totals and FAB remaining, plus a dedicated ELIMINATED section showing every team that's been eliminated and the week it happened. A week selector lets you go back and relive any week of the season.

Who's safe, who's at risk, who's on death watch?
Who's safe, who's at risk, who's on death watch?

You'll also know the second your season is in danger. New push notifications tell you the moment your team drops to the lowest projected score in the league and lands on Death Watch, and again when you climb back off it and someone else takes over last place. No more refreshing the standings all afternoon to figure out whether you're safe.

Standings that tell you where you stand. Death Watch is whoever holds the lowest projected score, At Risk means you're getting close, and Safe means you're clear. Plus, we've added a week selector to the elimination section to revisit any previous week.

Finally, we've disabled the Can't Cut List by default so strategy and waiver pick ups are in your hands as teams are eliminated. Commissioners can enable the Can't Cut List in private leagues.

You can create a private Death League or join a public one and find your standings and survival status on the League tab.

Death Leagues mark day 8 of our 29 Days of Fantasy. Follow it all here.

FAQ:

Who do I play against each week? There are no head-to-head matchups. Your team is compared against the rest of the league on total points — finish above the lowest-scoring team and you survive to the next week.

What happens to an eliminated team's players? They're released onto waivers where the remaining teams can claim them using their FAB budget.

How will I know if I'm about to be eliminated? You'll get a push notification the moment your team drops to the lowest projected score in the league and lands on Death Watch, and another when you're no longer in last.
