Dennis Schroder isn't a star player by any means, but he's had a respectable career and is known for having played for several teams.

He started off playing with the Hawks for five seasons, but since then, he has been on the move practically every season since then.

He's just 32 years old, and he's one new team away from tying an NBA record.

Ish Smith holds the record for most career NBA teams played for at 13. There are a few players who have played for 12, and Schroder has now joined that group after being traded to the Hornets.

Assuming he plays in Charlotte next season, or plays for a new team elsewhere, it would be the 12th team he plays for in 14 career seasons.

He's now the active leader in this category, as Garrett Temple, who had played for 12 teams, is no longer active after taking an assistant coach job with the Mavericks.

With Schroder still having potentially several more seasons ahead of him, the record could be broken or at least matched, as he's still a valuable player in today's NBA.
