Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Detroit Lions are signing veteran running back Trayveon Williams.
Williams, a 5-foot-8, 206-pound running back, has played in 75 NFL regular-season games, totaling 343 rushing yards on 72 carries across time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Chargers and Cleveland Browns.
Originally a sixth-round draft pick by the Bengals in 2019, Williams played college football at Texas A&M. Williams joins a Detroit running backs room that needs some help after second-year back Kye Robichaux suffered a broken foot.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell said on Saturday that free agent signing Isiah Pacheco is still expected to be out this week. Pacheco is working his way back from an MCL strain.
Jacob Saylors might miss a few days with an ankle injury that he sustained in the Lions' preseason opener at the Cincinnati Bengals.
"Yeah, so, look, (Jabari) Small ought to be back, too. Saylors got a little ankle the other day. I don’t think it’s serious, but it could be a day or two here. Robichaux’s the one who got, God bless him dude, he got a foot. It could be, looks like he may have broke a bone in that foot. He’s been so dang just durable all camp, played his heart out. He’s another guy that just gives you everything he’s got, maximize everything.
"So, that’s kind of what that was for. (Isiah) Pacheco’s still a little bit out. We don’t anticipate him being back this week, so between that, (Jahmyr) Gibbs got back, we felt like we needed another back here," Campbell said Saturday.
