The Arizona Diamondbacks are fighting for a postseason spot with the Philadelphia Phillies, and Corbin Carroll will likely be a big reason for their success if they do make it to the playoffs this year.
He's been incredible once again this season, hitting an MLB-best 15 triples with 18 home runs, 16 stolen bases, and an .837 OPS in 120 games. Carroll is one of the best players in baseball right now, and he even made some history recently.
USA Today's Bob Nightengale shared that Carroll has joined only Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio in MLB history as the only players with at least 100 homers and 56 triples in under 610 games.
Corbin Carroll joins Gehrig and DiMaggio in wild HR and triple MLB history
"Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll has quietly produced 100 homers and 56 triples in 606 career games, with only immortals Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio accomplishing the feat in their first 610 career games," Nightengale writes.
This is some incredible company for Carroll to join in MLB history. Gehrig and DiMaggio are two of baseball's all-time legends.
He joins the two MLB legends in history by reaching 100 home runs and 56 triples in the first 610 games of his big league career.
At 608 games played, heading into Sunday, August 16, Carroll has 100 home runs and 58 triples in his career. He's the active triples leader, and he might have a chance at some all-time records when it comes to triples in his career.

He's already made some incredible history, joining Gehrig and DiMaggio with this 100-HR, 56-triple feat. But, as Nightingale also noted, Carroll is the only player to have 100 homers, 50 triples, and 100 stolen bases in a player's first 650 games.
Carroll is at 100 homers, 58 triples, and 139 stolen bases in 608 games. He can really become one-of-a-kind if he can tack on some more HRs, triples, and stolen bases over his next 42 games.
That sole record is cool, but being in the same conversation as Gehrig and DiMaggio is one of those statistics that show just how incredible Carroll has been in his career so far.
