‘Flying Tigers’, about wars pushing women into public life, premiered at 76th Berlin International Film Festival. Flying Tigers was the World War II U.S. military unit operating between Assam (India) and China. Among the few Indian documentary filmmakers with theatrical releases, veteran director Madhusree Dutta tells Meenakshi Shedde, South Asia senior programme advisor at TIFF Toronto and former Berlinale South Asia delegate, about returning to filmmaking after 20 years.
