Aug. 18— The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) returned to Austin Country Club for the fourth consecutive year for the Discover Austin Minnesota Junior Championship and it run through the week. The 54-hole stroke-play tournament will feature 96 junior golfers, ages 12-19, competing at Austin Country Club. Following 36 holes of competition, a cut will be made before the final round. Players representing 22 states and three countries are scheduled to compete, highlighting the AJGA's international membership and competitive field. The field also includes 25 Minnesota natives and three players who have committed to play collegiate golf. The Discover Austin Minnesota Junior Championship first joined the AJGA schedule in 2023 and has been held annually at Austin Country Club since its inception. "We're excited to return to Austin Country Club for the fourth consecutive year and continue building on the tremendous support we've received from Discover Austin Minnesota, the club and the local community," said Ryan Flanagan, AJGA Senior Regional Director, Midwest. "This championship continues to attract an exceptionally talented field of junior golfers from across the United States and around the world. Having both Anthony Wu and Hailey Fong return to defend their titles adds another exciting storyline to what promises to be a great week of competition." Defending champions Anthony Wu and Hailey Fong headline the field after earning victories at the 2025 Discover Austin Minnesota Junior Championship. Both players return seeking a second title at Austin Country Club. Competition begins Sunday, Aug. 17, and concludes Wednesday, Aug. 20. The tournament is conducted by the AJGA in partnership with Discover Austin Minnesota and Austin Country Club.
