The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the oldest teams in MLB, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It just means that some players on the squad are nearing the end of their careers.
One of those players is utility infielder Miguel Rojas, who revealed shortly after last year’s World Series win that this would be his final year in the big leagues as he wanted one last chance to win a third straight title in Los Angeles.

However, Rojas is considering making a change to those plans. Speaking with Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Rojas is considering playing another season before joining the Dodgers organization in a hybrid coaching and front office role.
“I want to help young players,” he said, “any way I can. And one day I want to manage. I believe I can do it.”
If Rojas were to suit up for another year, he would certainly have a spot on the Dodgers roster, not just because of postseason heroics but because he has still mashed left-handed pitching.
The 37-year-old veteran has appeared in just 77 games this year, but Rojas has taken full advantage of his limited opportunities. He has posted a .286 batting average, .333 on-base percentage, .744 OPS, three home runs and 18 RBIs.
With the Dodgers heading for the postseason in hopes of winning a third straight title, Rojas will certainly be a part of it and will be a key bat available off the bench. Last year, he had one of the most memorable moments in Dodgers history, launching a game-tying home run in Game 7 of the World Series.
Whether he ultimately decides to retire after this season or return for one more year, Rojas has clearly earned the right to make that decision entirely on his own terms.
