The Miami Dolphins are beginning a massive rebuild this season, as they've cut ties with many key veterans by way of release and trade.

It's a much younger and uncertain roster. But there are still a lot of intriguing players Dolphins fans can get excited about. Malik Willis and De'Von Achane are great starters, and at wide receiver, third-round rookie Caleb Douglas had a great play in his NFL debut.

However, the Dolphins' other third-round rookie WR, Chris Bell, might be more interesting. And according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins just made a very exciting roster move with this rookie WR.

Dolphins make exciting Chris Bell roster move

"Dolphins activated wide receiver Chris Bell off the non-football injury list," Schefter reported Monday morning.

This news comes to the Dolphins after their first preseason game against the Washington Commanders. While there's hype surrounding Douglas, Bell might spark even more interest.

The 22-year-old WR out of Louisville was garnering significant draft buzz before his injury, and he might've gone in Round 2, or even Round 1 had he not gotten hurt.

Bell's NFL comparison was A.J. Brown, one of the best WRs in the league the past few seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, and now with the New England Patriots.

Last season for the Louisville Cardinals, Bell caught 72 passes for 917 yards and six touchdowns. Not once during his four seasons in collegiate football, all with Louisville, did Bell fall under 12.7 yards per reception.

Drafted at No. 94 in the NFL Draft, Bell is a super high-upside player who was injured at the time of the draft after an ACL injury. It caused him to fall down the board quite a bit, and might've given the Dolphins a steal in the 2026 NFL Draft.

With the Dolphins' barren WR room, Bell might join fellow third-round rookie WR Douglas as key focal points of the passing attack with Willis this year.

But just having Bell get activated from the NFI list is some huge news for the Dolphins. If he can reach his potential before his injury, the Dolphins could have a steal on their hands.
