Enes Kanter has been speaking about the possibility he could be dunked on if he joins the WNBA.
Kanter declared for the WNBA draft earlier this month and his decision has caused a lot of discourse around trans athletes in women’s sports.
Now, he has sat down with America First Policy Institute to speak about many topics involving the WNBA, including the chance he is dunked on if he joins the league.

Enes Kanter thinks he could be dunked on by another trans athlete in the WNBA
When speaking to Bruce Pearl, Kanter was asked, ‘what if you get dunked on?’
He replied by suggesting that is something that could happen because he thinks another trans athlete could join the WNBA and do it.
Kanter said: “To be honest with you, I might get dunked on because of these rules. I’m sure there are many G League players. There are many college players, European players, is gonna wanna play in the WNBA because there is no rule against it.
“So, for that reason, I might actually get dunked on by another trans athlete.
“So, people shouldn’t be shocked. These are the rules that they created.”
Kanter added that he hopes his decision to declare for the WNBA will open the door for others.
He stated: “I’m hoping that my step will open so many other doors, and we will be seeing many other athletes, trans athletes, in that game, I think.”
At present, the WNBA have not made any changes to their eligibility rules.
Whether they will do so ahead of next year’s draft or not remains to be seen.
