Joshua Báez was ranked a respectable 59th in MLB's prospect rankings entering his debut with the St. Louis Cardinals, but you might've thought he was the greatest prospect ever the way he performed Saturday against the Chicago Cubs.
The 23-year-old outfielder hit three home runs in his first three major-league at-bats, including a 450-footer on the first pitch he saw, becoming the first player ever to go deep in each of his first three at-bats.
The third-ranked player in the Cardinals system, Báez dedicated the game to his later father who he believes was with him in the form of a bee that followed him in the outfield. "I just know that he’s super proud, and that he’s here with me right now in spirit," Báez said, via The Athletic.

Is Joshua Báez related to Javier Báez?
No. Though they share a last name, Joshua and Javier are not related.
