I thought Layden Robinson and Matthew Hayball held up pretty well in the first preseason game, but the team apparently did not agree. Hayball, the team’s International Pathways Player for 2026, gets the boot alongside Robinson, who played the fifth-highest snap total of anyone on offense Friday night and was not tabbed with any allowed pressures, per Pro Football Focus.

In a corresponding move, the team signed wide receiver Beaux Collins. The former Giants undrafted free agent had two grabs for 25 yards last year and logged significant special teams snaps in the nine games he appeared in last year, but finished 2025 on injured reserve. He’ll join fellow veterans Kristian Wilkerson, Chris Blair, Dylan Drummond, and Antwane Wells Jr. as they compete for reserve roles against rookies Vinny Anthony and Keelan Marion.
Hayball’s release means Jake Bailey has zero competition for punter—not that Hayball was expected to unseat him—and Robinson’s departure trims the competition for reserve guard spots down to Kyle Hinton, Andrew Stueber, and rookie Kam Dewberry.
