Where it once seemed unlikely, Caitlin Clark is emerging as an MVP contender in her third WNBA season.
After an injury-plagued 2025 -- and an inconsistent start to 2026 -- Clark for the past month has been on a heater as the Indiana Fever steadily climbs the standings.
In Toronto for a game against the expansion Tempo on Tuesday night, Clark tied her own WNBA record for consecutive games with at least 20 points and five assists.

Clark registered her sixth successive game with those totals as the Fever took down the Tempo at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
In the 101-95 win over Toronto, Clark scored 24 points and dished out seven assists -- though she did turn the ball over seven times as well.

It was a close shave for the Fever, but Indiana improved to 24-12 -- tying its win total from all of 2025 -- by claiming victory in a sixth successive game and for a 13th time in 16 games. Clark sank two free throws in the dying seconds to seal the win.
Clark has pulled into a virtual tie with Phoenix's Alyssa Thomas as the WNBA's assists leader with 8.3 dimes per game. In addition, her 22.1 points per game mark is third in the league; she is the only player to rank in the top three in both offensive categories.
Combined with the Fever's historic pace on offense, and Clark continues to build her MVP campaign one brick -- and one win -- at a time.
