Florida State basketball has secured an upcoming visit from one of the highest-rated prospects in the 2027 recruiting class.
Five-star small forward Moussa Kamissoko, a top-20 prospect, has scheduled an official visit to Florida State for Aug. 28, according to 247Sports. The Seminoles extended an offer to Kamissoko on Thursday as Luke Loucks and his staff continue building relationships with the next recruiting cycle.
Kamissoko is a 6-foot-7, 180-pound small forward who plays at Long Island Lutheran in New York. The 247Sports rankings have him as the No. 20 nationally, No. 7 small forward, and No. 1 in New York. He sits even higher in the 247Sports Composite, checking in at No. 15 overall and No. 5 at his position.
His recruitment already includes 20 scholarship offers, giving Florida State considerable competition as the Seminoles attempt to make an early impression.
The highly regarded wing has built his reputation around versatility. In its July evaluation, 247Sports described Kamissoko as a long, athletic perimeter player with a 6-foot-11 wingspan and the ability to contribute on both ends of the floor. He shot 35% from 3-point range and averaged 7.2 rebounds, 1.9 steals and one block per game during EYBL Scholastic competition as a junior.
Kamissoko has been on the national recruiting radar for several years. At the 2025 Crossroads Elite Invitational, 247Sports selected him as its top performer after he helped lead his team to the tournament title while showcasing his ability to create off the dribble, facilitate for teammates and defend multiple positions.
Florida State now gets an opportunity to make its pitch in person. Kamissoko’s Aug. 28 trip gives the Seminoles a visit from one of the most highly rated players currently on their 2027 recruiting board as Loucks’ staff continues its pursuit of high-end talent.
