Harris visited with the Giants on Monday. The Giants head coach said Harris is not back to 100 percent after rupturing his Achilles; however, he said the former Chargers back looked good. "He's not back 100 percent. He's not in football shape yet. So, if we are able to do something, it'll be a process," John Harbaugh said. "But that would be a guy that has got a lot of experience. He's a decorated vet. And with those guys, generally, you just have to kind of see where they're at when you get them. And sometimes it works out great. Sometimes it's just okay, and other times it doesn't work out. "But based on the workout, I would say we feel like he's got a shot. We'll just have to see how it goes." Harris signed a one-year, $9.5 million deal with Los Angeles in March 2025. In the third game of the season against the Denver Broncos, Harris tore his Achilles tendon, ending his season. The former first-round pick ended his season with 15 rushing attempts for 61 yards, no touchdowns and averaged 4.1 yards per attempt. Prior to the injury, Harris did not miss a game in his career and recorded over 1,000 rushing yards in each of his first three seasons of his career as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former Pro Bowl running back now joins the third team of his career and will share some snaps with Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary.
