Almost one year after suffering a torn Achilles, former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris has found his next NFL team, joining forces with a head coach who knew the AFC North brand of football all too well.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Harris is signing with the John Harbaugh-led New York Giants on a one-year deal, joining a loaded running back room featuring Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr.
The #Giants are signing free agent RB Najee Harris to a 1-year deal, per me and @MikeGarafolo, as NYG adds another veteran to their backfield.

Harris, who was selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, had an outstanding first few years in the league with Pittsburgh, recording 1,000-yard rushing seasons in all four of his seasons.
Harris left the Steelers for the Los Angeles Chargers during 2025 free agency, where he unfortunately suffered a multitude of setbacks, such as the Fourth of July fireworks mishap and an Achilles tear during Week 3 of the regular season.
Harris and Harbaugh are all too familiar with one another thanks to the Steelers-Ravens divisional clashes, but now the veteran running back and new Giants head coach will pair up in New York.
