The Duke Blue Devils are shifting their focus to future recruiting classes after turning in the top 2026 class. Jon Scheyer and his staff will have a busy next few months not only with the season starting but also with recruiting.

The Fall season is always a busy one with recruiting as recruits set visits to programs. It allows the programs a chance to impress recruits and get them on campus.

For Duke, they already have some visits lined up but earlier this week they added another one to the schedule.

Class of 2027 four-star recruit Deng Ngor has officially set a visit to Duke and will be in Durham the weekend of October 15. It's one of five visits currently scheduled for the talented big man as he will also check out Ohio State (September 5), Washington (September 18), Florida (September 22nd) and St. Bonaventure (November 16th).

As you can see, there are plenty of other programs after the talented recruit as he has a total of 23 offers so far.

Below is a scouting report on Ngor from 247Sports:

Ngor had a solid 3SSB campaign, averaging 12 points per game, but where he really stood out was in helping Canada to the gold medal of FIBA U18 Americas. He’s a potentially versatile two-way forward who plays with length in the open floor, is bouncy at the rim, and a developing shooting threat. He made only 28% of his threes on just under 4 attempts per game in the grassroots season, but was at 38% in FIBA play. He has a soft natural touch, quick release, and is utilized not just spotting up, but also in pick-and-pop actions as well. He doesn’t have much of a first-step off the bounce, but elongates his strides effectively through the lane and can also be a long jumper. He has a bit of developing strength, but somewhat oddly proportioned body mechanics with high/wide hips, pretty broad shoulders, and long-arms. He’s a sneaky good passer, who recorded 2.6 assists against 2.2 turnovers, and a budding versatile defender who plays with a motor and is very active contesting shots. Ngor is also older for his grade, having turned 18 in February of 2008.

The 6-foot-8, 200-pound Ngor plays at Fort Erie International Academy in Fort Erie, Ontario. He's ranked No. 150 nationally, No. 23 power forward and the No. 1 player in Ontario per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

Duke currently has one commitment in the 2027 class as Kager Knueppel committed earlier in the Summer.
