Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman had a scary moment last week during a series against the Kansas City Royals. While tracking down an infield fly ball, Freeman fell into the visitor’s dugout.
While Freeman finished the inning, he was removed later in the contest and after the game manager Dave Roberts revealed he was dealing with overall body soreness.

Freeman also missed a game during Los Angeles’ four-game set against the Milwaukee Brewers to rest up and recover.
Ahead of Monday’s series opener against the Colorado Rockies, Freeman gave another update on his condition when speaking with Dodgers sideline reporter David Vassegh. He revealed he has made a full recovery from the fall and it is nothing to worry about moving forward.
Now in year five of his six-year, $162 million contract, Freeman is still proving he is worth every penny. In his age-36 season, he has not slowed down, posting a .298 batting average, .373 on-base percentage, .834 OPS, 15 home runs and 57 RBIs across 456 at-bats.
The Dodgers offense has sputtered in the second half, but it hardly falls on Freeman, who has been as consistent as ever. He earned his 10th career All-Star selection this year for his efforts in the first half as well.
With the Dodgers in search of a three-peat, keeping Freeman healthy and on the field at all times is a requirement, and fortunately it appears that will be the case. Los Angeles is looking to end a two-game losing streak on the road Monday at Coors Field.
