The New York Giants added another established running back on Tuesday, signing Najee Harris to a one-year contract.
Harris worked out for New York on Monday and joins the Giants after an Achilles tear ended his season with the Los Angeles Chargers. He appeared in three games, rushing 15 times for 61 yards. The 28-year-old is healthy and receives an opportunity to reestablish himself inside the NFC East.

Najee Harris gives the Giants another physical runner
New York has Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr. listed as co-starters, with Devin Singletary also available. Harris is not guaranteed a featured role, but his size, experience and ability to handle difficult carries give coach John Harbaugh another option.
Harris rushed for at least 1,000 yards in each of his first four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former first-round pick has 4,373 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns. He also earned a Pro Bowl selection as a rookie in 2021.
