New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh confirmed on Thursday that wide receiver Jalin Hyatt will not play in Saturday’s preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings due to injury. Harbaugh was asked if any players other than wide receiver Malik Nabers, who is already known to be sidelined, would definitely miss the game. He pointed to Hyatt as the one ruled out. “There are, I would say there’s – yeah, (wide receiver) Jalin Hyatt will be out, ruled out as far as an injury,” Harbaugh told reporters. “Some of the other injuries would be guys that would probably be game-time decisions or right up to it. So, some of those guys that didn’t practice today would probably be game-time decisions.” When asked specifically about cornerback Paulson Adebo, Harbaugh placed him in the game-time decision category. “Adebo would be one of those game-time decision guys,” he said. Hyatt has been limited recently with a leg/ankle issue and missed practice again Thursday. Adebo’s status remains fluid after also being held out of Thursday’s session. Several other players who did not practice are expected to face similar evaluations closer to kickoff. The Giants host the Vikings at MetLife Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the first preseason contest under Harbaugh. The coaching staff continues to manage workloads carefully as it evaluates roster candidates and prepares for the regular season. Harbaugh indicated he may not provide further details on every injured player but made clear that Hyatt is ruled out, while Adebo’s availability will be determined nearer to game time. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will play. This article originally appeared on Giants Wire: Giants' Jalin Hyatt out vs. Vikings, Paulson Adebo a game-time decision
