From hardly featuring in AEW to being invited to watch the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, Danhausen has certainly had an interesting year.
Danhausen made his WWE debut at Elimination Chamber earlier in 2026 and quickly became a very popular figure, not just in wrestling.
Fans loved his ‘cursing’ gimmick, which drew mainstream media attention when he ‘uncursed’ the Knicks before they won the 2026 NBA Finals.
However, in more recent times, it appears some had begun to grow tired of how much the wrestler was being used by WWE.
Fans notice Danhausen being used by WWE less after SummerSlam
Kit Wilson said some wrestlers were not fond of Danhausen potentially taking a PLE spot from them.
Meanwhile, after this year’s SummerSlam, Danhausen vs Dominik Mysterio was given a 0.5 rating by Dave Meltzer.
In the aftermath of that PLE, though, it feels like WWE have been using the former AEW talent a lot less, something many fans are viewing as a positive.
One wrestling account wrote: “Seems like WWE has toned down the Danhausen segments. Great decision. It’s good entertainment when given in small doses.”
A number of others have since replied to that post to express similar opinions, with one writing: “Good that they’re not overexposing him anymore.”
Another echoed: “It’s best that Danhausen appears during commercial breaks, so that way the live crowd gets a chance to see him in person, at the same time, he’s not on television constantly to a point that fans start getting sick and tired of seeing him, like we almost had prior to SummerSlam.”
A third responded to the original tweet by simply writing: “Agreed.”
“Ad breaks, backstage segments, occasional match on RAW. Simple as that, let’s not be putting him in PPV matches again please,” wrote a fourth.
A fifth added: “I’d love for him to pop up randomly, just every couple of weeks for a laugh or two. Would be way better.”
It remains to be seen whether Danhausen will feature on any more PLEs in the coming months, but he has been used on TV a lot less post-SummerSlam, often being brought out for the live crowd during commercial breaks.
