It’s at times like this where I have to remember that suffering is good for the soul.
The Guardians are 8-17 since the All-Star break. They simply cannot hit the baseball. Zack Meisel broke down the grisly numbers in his column for the Athletic Wednesday. The bullpen also has not been good.
That’ll all change when the red-hot Padres come to town tonight, of course.
Yesterday was the first game a team (i.e. the Guardians) did not strike out once and got shutout since 2014. #funfact
